When we were planning a renovation we knew renovations never come without surprises, and ours wasn’t an exception. When the crew opened up the walls we found there was some really old wiring inside that had to be replaced.Honestly speaking, I already got upset thinking it will cause delays and we will not celebrate Christmas in our apartment… Modern Citi Group gave us a couple options, broke down the pros and cons, and we picked the best one together. What’s crazy is it didn’t even throw the schedule off - they stayed on track despite all the challenges!!!The designer also helped us pick lighting and furniture, and honestly, we didn’t realize how much that would change the vibe of the place. I had an excellent experience working with Modern Citi Group. Their process is transparent. You can see the cost of every component of your renovation, you review their technical drawings before they begin, and are encouraged to be involved in selecting materials and interacting with the contractors to the extent that you would like to be involved. The work itself was done with precision and completed on schedule. Every morning, the team arrived promptly. All of the contractors were very nice and highly skilled.
There were a few minor hiccups, as is normal with any renovation, but the Modern Citi Group team handled everything quickly and with great support. They worked with me to bring my vision to life, and the end result was gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. If dust management is a priority, you’ll want to take the lead on that aspect, but otherwise everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend Modern Citi Group for anyone looking for a professional, transparent, and high-quality renovation experience.

We werent confident about taking on a full home renovation of our brownstone in Brooklyn Heights, but Anna and her team made the process surprisingly smooth. From the initial site meeting to the day we moved back in, MCG showed professionalism. Daniil's knowledge and experience in working with the LPC was pretty impressive (it gets complicated when working with landmark buildings), but we went through the review process and got the approval pretty quickly. Our kitchen remodel turned out beautiful, the custom cabinetry and that stunning waterfall island are to die for. The bathrooms were remodeled, we converted the bathtub to a curbless shower in one of the bathrooms, which looks amazing. We replaced all floors, skim coated walls, framed out new soffits, installed new lights, installed drop ceilings in bedrooms and kitchen, added recessed lighting, new baseboards, cove moldings with led strip lighting. Frank, our project manager, was always available to address our concerns, even reaching out to vendors when tile delivery was being delayed. The attention to detail is impressive, and I mean it when i say it. Its our home, so I was going in detail during the final walkthrough, but the list of touch ups wasnt that long, you could clearly see that Frank inspected all the work and told the team to address the touch ups before the walkthrough - which we appreciated. Regarding timeline, it took a bit longer than initially planned (about 4 months instead of originally planned 3), but the results were absolutely worth it, plus we added some work along the way.. If you're looking for a licensed general contractor who can really handle it, they are your go-to.

As a retired couple downsizing from our Long Island home to a condo in Battery Park City, we wanted to make sure our new space was practical and perfect. MCG exceeded our expectations in every way. The kitchen remodel was particularly impressive - they maximized our small space with smart storage solutions and high-end appliances that make cooking a joy, even in a smaller kitchen. Anna's design incorporated a kitchen island that provides extra counter space and seating, which has been perfect for when the grandkids visit. The bathroom remodel included conversion of the tub to shower. Daniil suggested adding grab bars and a curbless shower that blend seamlessly with the overall design, I was skeptical for it to look like an ADA restroom, but it turned out amazing. Throughout the project, Frank and his team were respectful and always mindful of our condo building rules and working hours. We did have a slight delay when our chosen countertop material was backordered, but Viktoriya quickly found a beautiful alternative that we actually like even better. The attention to detail was impressive, from the perfectly aligned grout lines to the soft-close cabinet doors. The whole renovation took about 9 weeks. If you're looking for a licensed contractor who understands the unique needs of older adults, give them a try.
